An event every week that begins at 9:30 am on Saturday, repeating until 21st December 2019
Join us for our first ever Christmas Panto-Style Storytelling as we welcome Father Christmas, Mrs Christmas and a very naughty elf for a fantastic festive tale! New for 2019, ‘Father Christmas Saves The Day’ is an interactive, panto-style storytelling performance that’s sure to get all the family joining in and having fun. A naughty little elf at Christmas HQ has been causing trouble with his spirited antics, messing about in the toy workshop and playing with the festive gizmos and gadgets. Mother Christmas and Father Christmas will need the help of some willing volunteers to get their festive plans back on track, and fast. A team of elves at the visitor entrance will direct families along the beautifully lit Lime Walk, which leads to the festively decorated Garden Restaurant where the performance will take place. There will be plenty of opportunity for audience participation and some jokes along the way for the adults too! Each child will receive a Christmas sweet from Father Christmas at the end, before heading off to enjoy a range of other activities including festive crafting and colouring in the Craft Barn and seasonal face painting in the Toy Museum. The adventure playground will be open, as will the gift shop, and The Porcupine Pantry, which will be serving yuletide goodies, hot drinks and a few toddies. Tickets for the Christmas storytelling show go on sale on Wednesday 2nd October, with six dates available – and three performances on each day. The performance duration is 25 minutes, leaving plenty of time to enjoy the additional activities. Pre-booking is required due to limited seating for each show, with entry costing £9 per child (up to 15 years old). Accompanying adult tickets are £5 per person, with young babies (aged one and below) welcomed free of charge when part of a group with a paying child. Visitors are encouraged to wear Christmas jumpers or festive fancy dress to help them get into the Christmas spirit! Sessions at 9:30, 12:30 and 3:30 pm
